Lilith &  The Human

Lilith has not tasted a man in more than a decade, but not because she doesn’t want one. Truth be told she’d love one or two or three. But over the centuries she’s developed certain control issues that are best left un-tempted.

When a tall, handsome stranger baits the first vampire to walk the earth, Lilith bares more than fang and throws her already strained control right off with her clothes.

Welcome to Seductions. Step into the most popular bar in New England and enter a world where Others live side-by-side with unsuspecting humans. At Seductions the drinks are always tasty, the romance is always hot, and the patrons aren’t always human.

A gruff cough broke into Lilith’s thoughts. Loud and gruff and very rudely manly.

Lilith sighed heavily. She’d long ago stopped trying to be demure or gentle with her mannerisms when dealing with humans, having learned that most of them didn’t actually “get the hint” about anything unless you slammed the hint over their heads.

In an obvious display she rolled her eyes again as she turned to look at the man. “What?”

“Your eyes—”

“Yeah, they’re pretty. I know. We’ve already been over this.” She hiked an eyebrow at him, then frowned. “Beat it.”

In a flash the man’s eyebrows drew together, then rose when his eyes widened. He nodded. “So you don’t have any self-confidence issues. That’s good. I like a woman who can hold her own.”

Lilith opened her mouth to tell him to leave or she’d bite a hole straight through his neck.

“Hold that thought, especially if it’s about your eyes, which are pretty and all, certainly better than plain brown. I do like hazel eyes, but, so we’re clear, they’re not the prettiest eyes I’ve ever seen. Actually, I’m not sure they’re even in the top ten.”

Lilith’s mouth hung open. Had a human just insulted her?
