Max sat on the corner of his desk, his left leg bent over the side, the other planted on the floor. Fashionable rips at the knees of his jeans and the bend of his left leg revealed flashes of skin. A chain draped from his belt loop to his pocket, where Shana knew he’d tucked his keys.

One hand rested on his thigh, the other on the edge of the desk.

A plain black T-shirt stretched over the expanse of his chest, accentuating the ripple of each muscle. The sleeves strained against his biceps.

Dark stubble shadowed his usually smooth shaven chin, nearly hiding the deep cleft, yet drawing her attention to full, red lips that framed the whitest teeth she’d ever seen. His nose was kissable. A perfectly sized button nose that turned up just a tad.

And those eyes, so blue you’d swear they weren’t real, watched every move everyone made, never missing a thing. They were sharp and all-knowing.

By the time her gaze made the slow ascent from his feet to his face. She’d completely forgotten she wasn’t fully dressed.

“Are you planning to come out of the office and work this evening, or did you think I created that little space for you to stand around in your bra and panties all night?”

She hugged her jeans against her chest. “You!” She darted away from the mirror.

“Yes, me. I’ve come for your weekly…suckle.”
