Hunky Hero Giveaway Hop

Posted by on April 16, 2012

I’m Just a Hunk, a Hunk of Burning Love.

Let’s hear it for the hunky heros of romance!!  Woot!

Elvis had it right when he sang, “Lord all mighty, I feel my temperature rising. Higher and higher. It’s burning through to my soul.”

Who doesn’t love the dark and brooding hero? Or the tortured soul? The Rake? The Rouge?

Everyone has a favorite. Mine is the dark and brooding alpha hero. I love the super-alpha. Christine Feehan’s Carpathians

almost all seem to fit the bill simply by sheer makeup. Mikhail and Gregori– what’s not to love?

What about you? Who are your favorites? Shout ‘em out! Let’s hear ‘em!

I’ll give an ecopy of Perpetual Light and one print copy of a surprise romance from my library to one commenter. Contest is open internationally.

Hi MJB and Patti. I haven’t read all the Carpathians yet either, but I have read Dark Prince a few times! I love that one best. I’m going to check out the Nauti Boys. I haven’t read anything about them before. Thanks to both of you for stopping by! Good luck with the hop. Jordan

  2. Patti P

I love my alphas too. Carpathians, Black Dagger Brotherhood, Dark Hunters…..Oh my.
I can’t get enough of them. Also highlanders and Nauti Boys.

  3. Carmen DeSousa

He looks amazingly like Viggo Mortensen pictured above as Aragorn. Women cooed over the other guy, can’t even remember his name, the elf… But if the hero in “The Dark Prince” looks like him, I’m in. I like a real man, not a soft one. ;) My MCs are not pushovers and do not training; they just need loved, and that’s what I love to read also. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Angelique, Megan, Sandy and Carmen. Thanks for hopping over! It seems we are all very similar in our “likes.” Dark and brooding. Yum. Carmen, that is Viggo as Aragorn. I couldn’t resist the pic. He was quite sexy in Lord of the Rings. Though, did you notice how his voice did some sort of funny high-pitched squeaky thing when he was summoned to the private meeting to discuss the plan for how to deal with the ring? Every time I see that scene I wonder what happened! Jordan

  4. Sandy Wolters

Oh my gosh! He IS gorgeous! I tend to lean towards Highlanders. Umm Hmmm. LOL

  5. Megan @ Riverina Romantics

I hate to admit that I have not read any of the Carpathians series but I really want to. One of the hunky heroes that I like is Maddox from the Lords of the Underworld series.

Hi Deb, Donna and Pamela. Thanks for stopping by the Hunky Hero Blog Hop. I’m glad to have you. Pam- thanks for sharing Maddox. If you only get a chance to read one of the Carpathian stories, read Dark Prince. It’s the first and I think the best. Though I do like Gregori’s story, too. The last one I read was Dark Slayer which is Ivory and Razvan’s story. I liked it because of Ivory’s perspective, but by far Mikhail and Gregori are definite alpha heros- really alpha cavemen, which can be quite entertaining! :)

  19. Anne

Oh, my. There are too many to mention them all. Larissa Ione’s Demonica heroes, all of the shifters from the Kate Daniels series by Ilona Andrews. I like most of Maya Bank’s heroes too.

Hey there BookAttict and Anne. Thanks for hopping over. I love that you both have long lists of heros to love. BookAttict- I agree- the more issues the better. I wish I had more time to read. I’m getting so many great suggestions from everyone! Jordan

  20. BookAttict

I have too many faves to list them all — Jack Reacher from the series by Lee Child, Curran from Ilona Andrew’s Kate Daniels series, Roarke from J.D. Robb’s In Death series, Atticus from Kevin Hearne’s Iron Druid series and Severn from Michelle Sagara’s Chronicles of Elantra!
I like my heros to be Alpha, he has to have MAJOR issues that he’s in the process of overcoming, but still have that whole “Bad-boy. bad-ass, Alpha, who’ll die protecting ‘my woman’ mentality” –while finding it entertaining to watch “his woman” kick ass and take care of herself!

    Thanks for the giveaway!

Hi Molly, Krysta, Jess and Helen. Thanks for coming by and participating in The Hop. It’s great to hear what everyone else is reading and what they like in a hero. Krysta- I love tall, dark and handsome so the elves didn’t do it for me. Whereas Aragorn was another story. It’s so great to hear that there’s hero for every reader/viewer. :)

Ooooh oooh also Nicholas Argeneau of Lynsay Sands’ Renegade Hunter…i could go on. :-)

  • About Me

I’ve always loved vampire stories, but I didn’t always want to be a writer. In fact, I never really thought about it at all until just a few years ago when I spent my free time during the months of November and December reading everything from Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight Series to Charlaine Harris’ Sookie Stackhouse Novels to the first three books of Anne Rice’s Vampire Chronicles. Then the desire to tell my own stories came to me, sneaking up from the depths of my mind, almost like a master vampire stalking his prey. And once I sat at the keyboard, there was no denying my need to write.
